Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Notabium. They are written to be read, not to be hidden in legalese. If anything is unclear, email notabium@proton.me and we will explain it plainly.
Effective date: 10 June 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, installing the Notabium Chrome extension, or otherwise using Notabium (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using Notabium on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Notabium is
Notabium is a cloud meeting assistant. It records and transcribes calls on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, generates AI summaries and action items, lets you chat with your meetings, and can send the Notabium Notetaker to join a call for you. The Notabium Notetaker is a passive participant: it appears in the participant list with a clear name, discloses that the meeting is being recorded, records and transcribes, and never speaks or acts on your behalf. You can also record in your browser without sending the notetaker. The Service is provided over the web and through an optional Chrome extension.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use most of the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly at notabium@proton.me if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use Notabium.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Notabium to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm others. In particular, you will not:
- Record people unlawfully or in violation of the consent rules that apply to you (see Section 5).
- Upload or capture content you have no right to record, store, or share.
- Attempt to disable, abuse, reverse engineer, or overload the Service or its infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.
- Use the Service to build a competing product, or to scrape or harvest data at scale.
5. Recording consent is your responsibility
Recording laws vary by country, state, and context. Some places allow one-party consent; others require every participant to agree before a call is recorded. You are solely responsible for obtaining whatever consent the law requires where you and the other participants are located. Notabium gives you tools to help — a consent reminder based on your set timezone, and a notetaker that names itself and discloses recording in the participant list — but those tools do not replace your legal obligation. By recording with Notabium, you confirm that you have the right and any necessary consent to do so, and you agree to indemnify Notabium against claims arising from recordings you make.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Notabium offers paid plans, each starting with a free trial. Pro is €19.99 per month and starts with a 7-day free trial that requires a valid payment card; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged and the subscription continues each month until cancelled. Team is €15.99 per month base plus €8 per seat, with a minimum of 3 seats (so from €39.99 per month). Enterprise pricing is agreed separately.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Prices are in euro and exclusive of any taxes that may apply. You can cancel at any time from your account — your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and you are not billed again. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we may change prices or plan features on reasonable notice, with changes taking effect at your next renewal.
7. Your content and intellectual property
Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and any other content you create or upload ("Your Content") belong to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models. You grant Notabium a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, to transcribe a recording, generate a summary, or share a link you create.
Notabium, including its software, design, brand, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Notabium is built on top of Meetily by Zackriya Solutions under the MIT licence; full credits are at /credits. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service, and nothing here transfers our intellectual property to you.
8. Third-party services
Notabium connects to services you already use, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, your calendar, and Stripe. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. The notetaker joins meetings as a participant and is subject to the meeting host's settings and the platform's rules.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-generated transcripts and summaries can contain errors and should not be relied on as a verbatim or legal record; you remain responsible for checking anything important against the full transcript or the original conversation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Notabium will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using Notabium and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you can export Your Content before closing your account, and we will delete or retain data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice in the app, and update the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which Notabium is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
